Make one useful guess
Read the category, select the answer field and type your own response. There is no multiple-choice list. Submit with Enter or the game's arrow button; a phone keyboard may label its submit key Go. The documented limit is 30 seconds per prompt.
Your first accepted response completes that round. A rejected response leaves time to try again. Pass or a timeout earns no points for that prompt, so a reasonable answer submitted in time is more useful than an unsent perfect idea.
Read the board before judging your result
The board represents the publisher's prepared estimate of common answers. It is not a live poll of people currently playing. An accepted answer receives a band based on its position:
| Band | Board position | Points |
|---|---|---|
| #1 Answer | First | 100 |
| Runner-up | Second or third | 75 |
| Top 5 | Fourth or fifth | 50 |
| Top 10 | Sixth to tenth | 25 |
| Off the Board | Accepted outside the top ten | 10 |
In the Daily, questions 1–2 use ×1, questions 3–5 use ×2, questions 6–8 use ×3 and questions 9–10 use ×4. For example, a 75-point band on question 4 earns 150 points. This is an illustrative calculation, not a recorded personal result.
Choose familiar over obscure
Before answering, ask two different questions: does this fit the category, and is it likely to be widely named? An answer must fit the category and be recognized by the game's accepted-answer list. Among accepted answers, its prepared board position sets the band. That distinction explains why a technically impressive guess may receive a low band.
Use the revealed board to understand that prompt rather than assuming the same answer will work in another category. A rejected guess is also different from a low-scoring accepted guess: only the latter has earned a band.
Choose a stage and a session
Tabletop turns scored points into people joining your tile. Sky climb turns the same scoring system into height. The difference is presentation and reveal pacing, rather than a reversal of the common-answer objective.
The Daily is ten prompts for the local date. Unlimited offers 10, 20 or endless prompts and does not affect the Daily streak. The publisher says Unlimited sessions cannot be resumed later; do not treat an unfinished practice run as a saved Daily.
Keep the current round open
This site's outer stage selector and Reload game control reopen the embedded game. If a confirmation appears, Keep playing cancels that action. Finish an answer before changing the player controls when possible.
